Kim S. Rhoades, CPA, Partner   

Founder Kim Rhoades first hung out his public shingle in Saline in October of 1990, after honing his accounting skills for more than 14 years at various other private and public CPA and law firms in Southestern Michigan.  Kim graduated Valedictorian from Clinton High School in 1972, and then completed his major in Accounting at Western Michigan University in May of 1976, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Kim's career experience includes employment with a large regional CPA firm, the controllership of a multi-million dollar construction company, and management of the Michigan office of a law firm that specialized in financial, estate, and tax planning for high net-worth individuals and closely-held businesses.

 

Robert A. Doehrer, CPA, Partner

Rob joined the firm in July of 1998 and became a partner in 1999. Rob is a 1989 graduate of Western Michigan University, where he obtained the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Prior to joining Rhoades Doehrer & Associates, PLLC, he was employed for over nine years with a medium-sized CPA firm in southwestern Michigan. Rob's areas of concentration include business start-ups, business and tax consulting for closely-held businesses, tax planning for high net-worth individuals, financial statement and business analyses, corporate and individual taxation, and preparing reviewed and compiled Financial Statements.

 

William G. Rittinger, CPA, Partner

Bill joined the firm in March of 2000, and became a partner in January, 2006. Bill graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration, where he obtained the degree of BBA with a concentration in Accounting and Computer Information Systems in 1987. Bill's employment history includes six years of audit and review experience with large ("Big 5") CPA firms. Following this, Bill held the post of Corporate Controller for the North American operation of a global manufacturer.

 

Ronald G. Kusz, CPA, Associate

Ron joined the firm in October of 2002, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Toledo. His experience over the last 25 years includes general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and profitability analyses. Before moving into public accounting, Ron was a senior financial analyst where, through the use of computer technology, he streamlined monthly analyses and reporting processes. His responsibilities include review and compilation services, personal and business tax preparation and tax planning. Ron is also an Intuit QuickBooks Certified Pro Advisor.

 

Becky S. Amo, CPA, Associate

Becky joined Rhoades Doehrer & Associates, PLLC in 2005, with over 25 years of professional experience in Accounting, Healthcare, and Banking. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Management Accounting and holds a CPA license in the state of Michigan. Her accounting background in the public sector included local and Big-5 firm experience as a Manager and Senior Accountant in a variety of industries, including Manufacturing, Healthcare, Construction, and Service, and has demonstrated excellent client service and an in-depth knowledge of financial statements, taxation, job costing, accounting systems training, support and implementation. Her private sector of accounting experience included holding positions as a Controller and CFO of multi-divisional organizations. 

 

Shelly M. Pike, CPA, Associate

Shelly originally joined the firm in June of 1994. She graduated from Western Michigan University in May of 1989 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Following college, Shelly worked as an accountant with Kim Rhoades in a large property management and construction company, and later became an accounting manager in a medium-sized property management firm in Florida. Upon returning to Michigan in 1994, Shelly rejoined Kim at Rhoades Doehrer & Associates, PLLC, working through 2002. After an extended leave to start her family, Shelly returned to RDA in the Fall of 2005. Her primary responsibilities are compilation and review of financial statements, preparation and review of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns, and assisting clients with business set-up.

 

William A. Marshall, CPA, Associate

Bill joined RDA in July, 2008.  He graduated Cum Laude with a BBA in Accounting Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University in December, 1989.  He obtained his Michigan CPA licensure in February, 2002, and has spent most of his professional career in public accounting.  Prior to joining RDA, Bill was employed for over thirteen years with a medium-sized CPA firm in the Metro-Detroit area, where he managed audits, tax return reviews, and staff management.  Bill has worked with a broad range of clients, including individuals, closely-held businesses, and publicly-traded companies, involved in a variety of industries, such as real estate, manufacturing, and wholesale distribution.  At RDA, Bill's responsibilities include income and estate tax planning, business consulting, and accounting services.   

 

Gregory Forsthoefel, CPA, Associate

Gregory Forsthoefel joined Hantz Rhoades & Doehrer in August, 2011, after spending over 20 years in Corporate and Public Accounting.  He obtained an MBA from Ohio State University in Finance and Strategy, and his experience in the corporate arena includes assignments in cost and managerial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and sales and profitability analyses.  Before moving into public accounting, Gregg was a Senior Financial Analyst and developed Product Sales Strategies, Long-Term Sales Plans, and Financial analyses of customers and competitors.  After joining a small CPA firm, Gregg worked on Audit Teams, and performed Audits, Reviews, and Compilations.  During this time, Gregg also completed personal and corporate tax returns and gave tax advice to his firm’s clients.  Gregg’s primary office will be located in Tecumseh.
